French Classes for Kids
Immerse your kids in the French language and culture! The Alliance Française de Saint Louis is the premier French school for kids, and we’re proud to offer French classes to children from 6 months through 12 years. We offer a series of classes expertly tailored to provide the best possible French instruction based on a child's development.
No need to be fluent! The kids French classes are arranged by age and French level, providing an excellent environment to make friends and learn a new language.
Tuition & Enrollment
Children's classes are enrolled and priced in eight-week terms.
Classes meet once per week for a duration based on their age group. We offer classes for 6 to 18 months (Bébé et Moi), 2 to 3 years (Tout Petit), 4 to 6 years (Maternelle), 6-9 and 9-14 (Explorateurs).
Membership & Textbook
For children's classes, an annual family membership to the Alliance Française de St. Louis is required. Family memberships are $80 and are valid for one year beginning the day you register.
Some children's classes also require a workbook, which is $45.

Please note: beginning in 2024, we are shifting all classes to eight-week terms (from the previous six-week terms).
Term 1: January 8 - March 2
Term 2: March 4 - April 27
Term 3 April 29 - June 22
Summer Break (Closed): June 24 - July 6
Term 4: July 8 - August 31
Term 5: September 2 - October 26
Term 6: October 28 - December 21
Winter Break (Closed): December 23 - January 4
How to Enroll
Ready to enroll? The best way to get started is by registering for your AFSTL membership. Then simply visit the class below, add it to your cart, and check out.
By default, paying for a class will be for the upcoming session.
However, if you are new to the Alliance Française de St. Louis, and you would like to start mid-session, we will happily adjust the cost of your first session accordingly. Just contact the office, and we will arrange that.
