Join us for the April meeting of Les Copains du Mardi where we will be discussing Premier sang by Amélie Nothomb.
In this moving biographical novel, Nothomb pays tribute to her father by reconstructing his extraordinary life story. The 150-page work explores his traumatic childhood in occupied Belgium, diplomatic career, and harrowing experience as a hostage during the Congo Crisis, offering a tender portrait of a man whose full life contained depths previously unknown to his daughter.
Les Copains du Mardi is a book club for advanced/fluent speakers of French.
